He was a messenger of God, and he spoke words of comfort and hope to the nation of Israel during times of turbulence and trouble and eventually exile from their own country.
The prophet Isaiah spoke words of light beyond the current darkness. He spoke of the coming King, declaring these words:
Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6)
But the words of Isaiah fell on deaf ears.
How often do you and I get so caught up in our immediate circumstances that we lose sight of a better tomorrow?
But prophecy will be fulfilled, regardless of whether we listen or not. Hope is available for us all!
Our Savior has indeed come! And his name is Jesus! And this Christmas season we celebrate the birth of a King that was foretold by the prophet Isaiah so many centuries ago!
I pray that you will experience the hope of this message and discover for yourself the love and peace that has come through the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a joy filled new year!
