She was just a young girl, around 14 years old; No one knows for sure, but we do know that she was engaged to be married.
And if that wasn’t enough excitement, she was visited by an angel named Gabriel who told her some astounding things!

I think about Mary during this Christmas season and what it must have been like for her as she considered the dramatic events ahead.
And like the songwriter, I wonder, ‘Mary did you know?’

⦁ Did you know that this baby that you carry would one day walk on water?
⦁ Did you know that this baby will heal the blind and raise the dead?
⦁ Mary, did you know that this baby would be the Savior for all mankind, the Hope of the World, our Deliverer?

Oh what an incredible time this must have been for Mary!

And what amazes me most was her response when she was told of the things to come. With courage and bravado she said to the angel Gabriel,

“Be it unto me according to your word!”

I want to have this type of response to the voice of God and I pray you do too! All it takes a willing heart.
